We just got in an advance copy of Lucy Knisley’s Relish, which is coming out in April of next year. It looks amazing!
Here’s the cover. It looks so good!
The spine. I love the fact that there’s a fork on it.
The back cover, with an amazing quote from Alison Bechdel.
Here’s the front flap, and the title page. I love all the croissants! (They will be making a reappearance in this post a few pictures down.)
And here is the back flap, with Lucy’s author picture.
One of the things this book contains (as well as a narrative storyline) is recipes! Here is one for chocolate chip cookies. Our editor (as part of her editorial duties) had to test all of these. “I can’t come to work today — I have to stay home and make cookies. No, it’s my job.”
That is clearly the best job.
Who doesn’t love this panel? Really everyone should run out to buy this book after only seeing this!
Here are the croissants again! They haunt one of the chapters of this book, and after reading this, they will probably haunt you too.
This book was printed on matte paper, and the colors look really lovely.
And the last thing this book has is an afterword, including photos of Lucy as a kid. It’s very neat.
Relish comes out in April! We can’t wait to share the whole thing with you.
