You may be familiar with George O’Connor’s Olympians series, because we’ve been publishing these books for five years now. There are six of them now! And the last three have all hit the New York Times Best-Seller List.
We’re celebrating by publishing a boxed set — a collected edition of all six books! So if you haven’t started reading these dynamic graphic novels, now’s a great chance for you to catch up.
You guys; this thing is giant! (That’s because it has six books in it.)
Here’s the front cover of the box. George has drawn a wrap-around portrait of all the gods who will be in the books sitting together. It’s pretty great!
And here’s the back cover. You can’t see what’s actually on the box here because on top of it is in a (wrapped in, not glued) one-sheet about what exciting contents await you within the box. Hint: there are many exciting things! Mostly books!
Here’s the spine, which has got Athena on it, and Hestia (who has turned into a fiery blob as a result of prolonged exposure to Kronos’ digestive juices, if I remember correctly — you can learn her full origin story if you buy this boxed set, guys. Could there be a better incentive?).
And here are the book spines.
Look! They’re making Medusa’s head when they’re stacked together like this! That’s pretty cool.
Because boxes have extra sides for us to take pictures of, here’s the top, with all the front covers of the books inside. It also helpfully informs you that this thing you’re looking at is a boxed set.
And here’s the bottom, which is less interesting but has useful things like the designer credit, the :01 logo, and the ISBN.
Also, I want to note: as you can see from the picture below, the whole package is shrink-wrapped so that the books don’t fall out and to protect the edges. It is more-or-less puddle-safe in this form.
But for you, I have pulled off the shrink wrap from this box to display the delights of the contents within. In this picture, you can see the rest of the back cover (yay!), all the books insides, and . . . possibly something else peeping out?
Yes! It is!
In the box you will also find a poster with the full cover image on it that you can hang up on your wall if you just need the Greek gods around staring at you all the time.
Here’s the back of the cover, which has a giant family tree!
(If you’re curious about poster size: this is folded into sixths for the box, so it’s six times as large as one of your Olympians books would be.)
And here’s a close up of that one-sheet on the back cover of the box by itself.
The Olympians Boxed Set comes out in October! It is very attractive and would look wonderful on your bookshelf — or on the bookshelf of any medium-small child that you know.
