New book!

We just got in super advance air-freighted copies of our upcoming graphic novel The Stratford Zoo Midnight Revue Presents Macbeth, by Ian Lendler and Zack Giallongo.

This book is the story of a production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth . . . put on by the animal inhabitants of the Stratford Zoo!  It’s a great introduction for kids to the works of Shakespeare.

Here we have the cover.  Macbeth, as you could possibly predict, is the lion.

And here is the spine, which also contains a lion.  I think this book is an excellent color!

This book has no flaps, so we’re going to skip right to the title page.  (This book also has the longest title ever.)

And here are some interiors!  This page shows the animals of the Stratford Zoo coming out of their cages to see the play.  (There’s lots of amusing audience commentary throughtout.)

And this page shows the first scene of the play, with Macbeth and Lady Macbeth — she’s the leopard.

And the back cover!  The actors receive the applause of their delighted constituents.

The Stratford Zoo Midnight Revue Presents Macbeth comes out in September.  We can’t wait!

My girlfriend Anna and I saw this in the catalogue at TCAF and are so excited. She wants to know how she can get her hands on a copy and a plushy and a tshirt and if you all have started casting the stage version? She would be happy to just be in the chorus. Can’t wait to get a copy!
