Hi there! I’m back after a little interlude. Spent much of my holiday break designing the sequel to Lat’s KAMPUNG BOY — this next one is called TOWN BOY, and it’s magnificent! Watch this space for more to come about it, in coming blog postings…

…including a new feature we’re inaugurating here, of First Second authors interviewing one another. TOMORROW IT’S EDDIE CAMPBELL INTERVIEWING LAT! There’s a new year treat for ya.

Speaking of Eddie Campbell — on his already jam-packed-with-good stuff blog, he’s been spilling the beans (now where did that expression come from?) about his upcoming BLACK DIAMOND DETECTIVE AGENCY book: coming soon from First Second!

More about that too, in coming entries.

Both of those books are very exciting! Are they in the next wave? I check the site almost daily to see if you’ve announced the next wave yet.

Although my and Lat’s home countries are close neighbours, it’s funny that I could purchase and read a complete version of Kampung Boy only recently, far from home.
I like the format of the book very much; the cover is also pleasantly designed. Campbell-Lat interview is a cool treat, indeed. Thanks!
