There aren’t many books that make me feel all dreamy and sad and shivery the way SAILOR TWAIN does. Just thinking about this book makes me want to swim in the Hudson River — probably not a good idea, but certainly an inspiring one. The Hudson inspires romantic feelings in all of us, I think, but SAILOR TWAIN has convinced me that there’s a good reason for that.

There are definitely mermaids in the Hudson.

Mark Siegel’s opus about love, longing, and fate comes out today, and it stands on a par with the best novels of the last twenty years. We could not be prouder to be publishing it. I hope you love it as much as we do.
