Ugh, where can I even start with this book? Well, let me give you a quote from a recent Booklist review that pretty much sums it up:
If David Lynch scripted Dick Tracy it might—might—be as great as this.
Red Handed is … it’s a crime story about crime stories, and it’s also a crime story about being human, and about the nature of justice, and about the nature of grief, and about mental illness and about connection. It’s all of those things and it’s also much, much more–it’s one of the most layered and rich and satisfying books I’ve read, let alone edited.
Also, it’s super duper funny.
You should read it.
